Camp Oranim Shomrim Program
For students in 10th through 12th grade
Shomrim means guards in Hebrew. You are invited to be a shomer (m) or shomeret (f) for Camp Oranim from Thursday, July 28th to Sunday, July 31th .
As Shomrim you will receive:
· Leadership Training
· Later curfew
· A Shromrim Siyyum (celebration with special food and activities)
· Special study sessions geared toward higher-level learning
· Shomrim Completion Certificate
· Shomrim lanyard to wear throughout camp
· Shomrim ‘extreme gift bag’
· Participation in fun camp activities such as whitewater rafting, swimming, hiking, etc.
As part of the Shomrim program you will be expected to:
· Lead camp songs, activities and chaperone the bus rides to and from camp and the whitewater rafting trip
· Lead T’filah
· Serve as a leader in Whitewater Rafting Adventure
· Act as a leader of your assigned cabin and campers
· Lead your team in the Maccabia Games
